How to pay your Honda car bill

To make your Honda payments, you can either go online, pick up the phone, send payment by mail, or visit a third-party service in-person such as MoneyGram or Western Union. Just remember to plan ahead so that your payment arrives by the due date.

Online

Create an account with Honda Financial ServicesSM to submit your payments directly to Honda online. You can use EasyPay for setting up auto-debiting monthly payments or to manually submit one payment. Register for an account
here

By phone

Once you have set up your bank account in your online Honda Financial account, you can make a payment by phone. This is an automated phone number so you don’t have to wait to talk to an agent. You cannot give your bank information over the phone—it must be set up in the online portal ahead of time.

In-person

You cannot go to a Honda dealership to make payments in person. However, you can visit a physical Western Union Quick Collect or MoneyGram location to send Honda payments. There is a fee involved for this type of service at Western Union, but these third-party services are a good option if you need to pay with cash.
You will need your Honda Financial Services account number. For Western Union, you will also need to know the correct codes (find them by entering “Honda Financial Services” into the
Biller Look-up
tool). For MoneyGram, you will need your receive code of 1888

Can I make my Honda payments with a credit card?

No. You must make your Honda payments with a bank account or debit card if you’re using the online portal. If you are paying through a third-party service, you may be able to use a credit card.

Is there a grace period for Honda car payments?

Yes. Officially, Honda’s grace period for
late loan payments
is 10 days. However, most late payments won’t be reported to the credit reporting agencies until they’ve reached 30 days overdue.
If you’re going to be late with a payment, it’s best to reach out to Honda directly. They will be much happier to hear from you with early notice than to discover you’re late. You can submit a request for a deferment to skip a payment from Honda Financial Services in your online account.

How much are Honda payments?

Honda vehicles may be reliable but they’re not as affordable as some other brands. Expect average or higher-than-average payments if you are buying or leasing a new Honda. The price range for new Hondas starts with the lowest priced HR-V with a starting MSRP of $23,115 and goes up to the Passport SUV with a starting MSRP of $39,665.
How much will it cost you to buy a Honda with a car loan? We’ve got a table to help you estimate your costs.
The information below assumes the base trim for that model, a 10% down payment, a 72-month loan term, and an interest rate of 4.90% (which is the average for new car buyers with credit scores between 661 and 780). Your price may be different, depending on your driver profile.

The specific Honda payment amount for your loan will depend on many factors: the MSRP, the size of your down payment, your credit score, the loan term, and other discounts (or fees).
In general, a three-year (
72-month term
) typically results in lower monthly payments than a longer 84-month loan term. Used car loans typically come with higher
APRs
than new-car loans.

FAQs

If you have a credit score below 600, you might struggle to get an auto loan or lease with Honda. While it does depend on your local dealership and the reason for your low score, 560 is typically the lowest credit score Honda will finance. If this is you, try to save up a larger down payment to strengthen your application.
You could get as low as 0% APR financing with Honda if you have an excellent credit score. Ask the dealership about incentives and other offers based on your driver profile.
The Honda Civic and Honda CR-V are the top-selling models from this manufacturer. Hondas are known for reliability and safety, so both are excellent choices. Pick the Civic if you need a more affordable sedan or the CR-V if you want a more powerful vehicle with extra interior space. Test drive both and see which one feels best!
