Don’t panic! Using a leather repair kit, you can fix the tear in your leather seat at home.
A leather repair kit will have everything you need to completely fix your seat. You can buy a leather repair kit online or at an auto shop.
  • Start by cleaning off your seat to remove any debris or dirt.
  • Use scissors to remove any loose threads.
  • Once it is clean, cut and place the sub-patch underneath the tear, leaving a half-inch of overlap on all sides.
  • Glue this patch on and leave it for twenty minutes to dry.
  • Spread a layer of filler onto the patch and between the tear edges.
  • Once the filler has dried, repeat the process.
  • You’ll be done once the filler is just above the seat level.
  • Once this dries, sand down the filler so it is level with the seat.
  • If the patch doesn’t match the leather, use colorant directly on the filler.
With that done, your seat should be as good as new!
