How do I reset the check engine light on my Honda Ridgeline?

I recently got my car serviced, but the check engine light won’t go away. I know there’s nothing wrong with my car, so how can I reset the check engine light on my Honda Ridgeline?

It can be very frustrating when your
check engine light
won’t go away, even after you’ve had your vehicle serviced. To reset the check engine light on your
Honda Ridgeline
, follow these simple steps:
  1. Put your car in accessory mode by turning your car on but not starting it.
  2. Press the Select button to the right of your steering wheel until the Service category comes up.
  3. Press the Reset button below the Select button and hold it for 10 to 15 seconds.
  4. You will see a prompt asking if you want to reset the maintenance. Press Select again, then Reset once more.
If that doesn’t work, consider bringing your car to a Honda dealership and service center to have them reset the light.
