How do you open the gas tank on a Lexus LX 570?

I purchased a used Lexus LX 570 about a week ago and love it. There’s just one problem—I can’t figure out how to open the gas tank! Do you know how to open the gas tank on a Lexus LX 570?

You aren’t the first driver to be stumped by the
Lexus
 LX 570’s gas tank. Here’s a step by step process on how to open the gas tank on a Lexus LX 570:
  • Step one: On the left side of the steering wheel, you’ll see a small button with a gas tank icon on it. Lift the button towards the cabin’s ceiling to release the fuel door.
  • Step two: Find the fuel door on the right side of the vehicle, near the rear bumper.
  • Step three: Fully open the fuel door and unscrew the gas cap underneath to access the gas tank.
And that’s all there is to it! Make sure to fill your tank before your fuel gauge reaches “E”, replace the gas cap, and close the fuel door before driving away.
