How do you put a Cadillac Escalade in Neutral with a dead battery?
I want to tow my Cadillac Escalade to the mechanic, but the battery is dead. How can I put my car in Neutral if it won’t turn on?

In order to put your
Cadillac Escalade
in Neutral with a dead battery, you’ll need to use the emergency shift lock release. Here’s how:- Get into your vehicle and check under and around your gear shift. You should find a small, key-sized hole.
- Using your car key, gently press down in this hole.
- With your key still pressing in, shift your vehicle into Neutral.
This button will allow you to shift gears without any electric power at all. Alternatively, though, you could always jump your car using a portable car battery charger or another vehicle!
Unfortunately, repairs due to wear and tear probably won’t be covered by your
