How long will it take for my insurance to reimburse me for my deductible?

I was not at fault in an accident. I submitted a claim to my insurance and paid my deductible so I could get my car repaired. My insurance is attempting to recover costs from the other driver. How long will it take to be reimbursed?

“The time it takes for you to be reimbursed depends on several things, so there’s no definitive amount of time as to when you should receive your reimbursement. When
car insurance
companies pay for a claim and then pursue the responsible party, it’s called subrogation.
As it’s a legal matter, it can take some time for insurance companies to negotiate. If the liable driver doesn’t have enough coverage on their policy for your damage, your deductible may not be reimbursed.
Stay in touch with your insurance company during the process. They should be able to provide you with more information as well as a time frame. They can also tell you if your
collision insurance
can be reimbursed or not.
Since you filed a claim, you should also be aware that your car insurance rates may go up. If you’re concerned about rising rates or the way your current car insurance company handled your claim, use the
