So what makes the Mini Cooper Camden so special? As it turns out, the Camden is pretty similar to a regular Mini Cooper. This edition came equipped with sport seats covered in special leather and cloth upholstery, dynamic traction control, hood graphics and a rally-style grille badge, a rear spoiler, xenon headlights, an upgraded Harman/Kardon audio system, 17-inch wheels, and fog lights.
What makes the Camden unique is its Mission Control feature, which is Mini’s fancy term for saying that the Mini Cooper Camden is a talking car. Mission Control is equipped with several different “characters” that react to the way you drive based on sensors.
For example, if your engine hasn’t warmed up yet on a chilly morning, your Camden will say something along the lines of “Not warmed up yet, I’ll let you know when I am” or “I’m still cold.” Feel like accelerating quickly because you’re late to work? The Camden might respond with an emphatic “Let’s Mini!” to “Woo-hoo!” Suffice it to say that the Mini Cooper Camden is a hilarious car to drive for some, and an annoying ride for others.
