How much can you make driving for Uber Select?
I have a luxury car, and I want to pay for my car note by driving for Uber—if it’s worth my time. How much should I expect to make driving for Uber Select?

Uber suspended the Uber Select program in July 2020. But that doesn’t mean you can’t still drive for the company. On average, you can expect to make between $13.70 and $24.87 per hour driving for Uber.
Uber driver earnings vary greatly depending on where you live, what time you drive, and your level of Uber (X, XL, or Black). Average wages for each are:
- UberX: $13.70 per hour
- UberXL: $15 per hour
- Uber Black: $24.87 per hour
Since you have a luxury car, Uber Black is probably the best option to maximize your income. You just need to qualify. To become an Uber Black driver, you need a car with the following attributes:
- High-end luxury car, including brands such as BMW, Mercedes, Land Rover, or Lexus
- Black exterior
- Black leather or black vegan leather seating
- Six-year-old vehicle or newer
You will also need to:
- Complete 250 trips on UberX or UberXL
- Maintain a 4.85-star or better rating
If you can pass these criteria, you should be able to maximize your income and pay for your car note by driving a few hours a week.
