How often should I change the oil in a 2013 Honda CRV?

How often does a 2013 Honda CRV need an oil change? My daughter and I plan to go on a road trip to Georgia in a few days. My oil change light just came on, so I’m wondering if I should get an oil change before we leave for our trip.

That sounds like a fun trip to bond with your daughter! When your oil change light is on, this is an indication that your vehicle needs an oil change as the oil pressure is low. It is best to change the oil in a 2013 Honda CRV between every 3,000 to 5,000 miles.
Although it might be a tight squeeze to book an appointment before you leave for your road trip, it’s important to get one before you leave. The longer you push back having the oil changed, the more likely it will lead to issues with your engine, such as
engine failure
, so try to make an appointment and see a mechanic as soon as possible!
Before you leave for your road trip, be sure your car has the proper
car insurance
coverage to keep you, your daughter, and your car safe on the road.
