What is the 2012 Subaru Impreza oil type?

. The 2012 Subaru Impreza
oil type is SAE 0W-20 synthetic oil for non-turbo models. If 0W-20 synthetic oil is not available, 0W-20, 5W-30, or 5W-40 are approved alternatives. That said, you should change back to 0W-20 synthetic oil upon your next oil change.
Here are some other tips to help you change your Subaru’s oil most successfully:
- The 2012 Impreza takes 5.3 quarts or 5.0 liters of oil when changing the oil and the filter
- You can find the filter part you’ll need in your Impreza’s owner manual, along with detailed instructions on changing your oil
