What’s the top speed for the Dodge Caliber?
My mother is kindly turning the keys to her Dodge Caliber over to my 16-year-old daughter. We’re appreciative of the gift, but I’m worried about how powerful this car might be for a new driver. What’s the top speed?

That’s a very kind gesture from your mother! In general, the
Dodge Caliber
wasn’t a very fast car. But you’ll want to check with your mom about the car’s model year and trim level because the Caliber SRT4
can get up to 155 mph. Most other Calibers can only get to 114 or 116 mph. The SRT4 was only produced for two model years: 2008 and 2009. To give you an idea of its performance range, here are some performance specs for the 2012 Caliber base trim:
- 0-60 time: 11.9 seconds
- Horsepower: 158 hp at 6,400 rpm
- Torque: 141 lb-ft at 5,000 rpm
- Engine size: 2-liter, 4-cylinder
