An aftermarket exhaust will not void a Ford warranty.
However, there are gray areas:
If your Ford’s exhaust was covered by the factory warranty, then the exhaust will no longer be covered if you choose to update it with an aftermarket part. This does not mean that the rest of your warranty is void or invalid—just that it will no longer cover this specific part of your car.
If your aftermarket exhaust is installed incorrectly or causes damage to other components on your Ford, those damages would also no longer be covered under your warranty.
In other words, any problem that can be traced back to your new exhaust likely won’t be covered.
Keep in mind: If you do choose to install an aftermarket exhaust, be careful to ensure that it is compatible with your vehicle and properly installed so as not to cause any damage to the rest of your ride. If issues do arise, be sure to read your contract carefully before bringing your vehicle into the Ford dealership so you can best understand the circumstances under which they may deny your warranty claim.
